Following a highly competitive international selection process, 52 emerging leaders from Australia and EU Member States have been selected to attend the 2018 EU-Australia Emerging Leaders Forum in Brussels.

The Emerging Leaders Forum brings together young professionals from both Australia and Europe to engage in discussions around the future of the EU-Australia relationship and contribute their ideas and recommendations to the Senior Leaders Forum, which is held immediately after the Emerging Leaders Forum with some cross-over between the two events.

The first Emerging Leaders Forum took place in Sydney from 2-6 June 2017, with 50 young leaders from Australia and Europe in attendance.

Applications to attend the 2018 Forum were open from 9 April – 31 May 2018 and attracted a record number of applications from across the globe.
